Education

Education

Swan Lifeline is always looking for ways to engage and educate the next generations about the river and its wildlife. We welcome groups from schools, Guides and Beavers for educational tours of our site where we talk about the history of the swans, the effect of rubbish & pollution and how to help.

We are currently working on a plan to build a new pen with students with particular educational needs from a local college. We aim to fulfil this project from start to finish with them and their teaching support staff.

The rivers wildlife seem to be able to connect with those who have challenges in life or difficulty in communicating with people and we’re hopeful this project will also help boost confidence and be a bit of fun too. The swans will also benefit  so it’s a win/win.

If you’re interested in getting involved, could provide any materials or expertise around this project please get in touch.
